I almost didn't have a tree topper this year. Tree toppers can add so much to the tree, or they can distract from the tree. I kept seeing all these twig stars on Pinterest, and they looked really fun and easy.
Here was my inspiration:

I was feeling inspired. I went outside and gathered some straight sticks, and broke them to be all about the same length. I gently sanded them to rub off any loose bark or debris and to smooth any sharp points.
Then, I spray painted them a bronze color.
Then, I arranged the sticks the way that I wanted them.
And then I took some twine and began tying them off.
And there is my little {free} star tree topper.
The last two posts are going to be fun! I am going to show you my stockings and my Christmas mantle. Come back Tuesday and Wednesday to see them!

It's time to link up! Remember: Any Christmas related blog post is game {recipes, crafts, Christmas family photos, family traditions, etc}. Be descriptive in your titles!
The rules:
1.) You may link up a different blog post once every day for a total of 12 entries.
2.) You must submit a direct link to your post...not just to your blog's homepage.
3.) Your entry/entries may be submitted anytime between now and midnight on December 12th.
Tweeting, pinning, "liking" & sharing on Facebook, instagraming, etc are not required for you to enter, but it would be awesome if you would do what you can to spread the word....whether you are entering a link or not. Spread the love!
