Instagram: June Photo A Day Challenge {Part II}

{June 10-21}

As I mentioned in this post, I am participating in the June Photo A Day Challenge on Instagram
by Fat Mum Slim.

June 10: Best bit of my weekend. The whole weekend was kind of high stress as we were getting our house ready for pictures, so yes, the yard work was the best part of it! I really enjoy working out in our yard, though. I have a daily routine of checking up on all my flowers: watering, dead-heading the petunias, and making sure everything is surviving the Oklahoma heat....{boring, I know...yawn}.

I've had that wreath on my door for months...and it's probably going to stay there till we sell the house!

Cliche shot of the sky. Sometimes I'm not feeling creative, ok? Give me a break.

Maddy {one of the sweet girls I nanny} and I had some fun with the sidewalk chalk. She was more into posing for the camera and watching me draw. Isn't she darling?

Day 14: time to listen to some Beach Boys.

Jeff and I decided to go and check out a potential investment property on Saturday {this one was a major fixer-upper!}, and Jeff got a little too nosy and disturbed some wasps! He got stung at least once, and to prove his manliness, he wouldn't let me doctor him up, and by day 2, it looked like this...

Nice kankle, Jeff.
The swelling went down towards the end of day 3 and he is all better now. I'm fearful of what will happen the next time he gets stung though!

In my bag: running shorts, shoes, dirty socks, sunglasses, book, keys, fruit snacks {for me}, deordorant, hoodie {I get cold all. the. time.}.

Day 18: Something you {probably} don't know about me: I am on a couple of book covers. This one is by Lauraine Snelling. No, I haven't read it.

I didn't post this next picture on Instagram, but this is another thing that most people don't know about me:

...I'm kind of a huntress {that is sarcasm}. Why am I posting pictures from high school on here!?! Embarrassing!

{This isn't a "woe-is-me" post despite what you might initially think.} I've actually been thinking a lot lately on God's grace in my life, and if it wasn't for Christ's work on the cross, then I would still be a lost sinner. I'm thankful for salvation!

Jeff was like "really? this is your favorite photo?" and I have to say that I picked this picture as my favorite iPhone picture not because I just love how this picture makes my face look flat {haha}, but because it was such a special moment in our lives! See those keys? They were/are to our first house {that we're now selling...click here}! We were on our way home from signing our life away at the closing to start moving our junk in. Ya!

My messy bed. I actually haven't been spending as much time here as I would like. Definitely been a tad busy lately.

If you would like to join in on the photo-a-day challenge, just follow me on Instagram {puttingdownroots} and I'll be posting the prompts for July as soon as I found out!
