Rusty Workbench to Industrial Chic Sofa Table

A while ago, I found this rusty old table that someone had left for trash.

I decided that my shabby chic sofa needed to meet this industrial table...after it got cleaned up of course.

A little elbow grease, spray paint, and mod podge + book pages later...

It's tall enough to put a couple stools underneath it for extra seating, or maybe a large basket. It definitely needs something underneath it! Any ideas?

I'm still mulling over how I'm going to finish off the edges. I didn't worry too much about how they looked because I knew I was going to do something with them. I'm thinking of gluing a ribbon around it to give it a completed look.

I absolutely love a natural light-filled home. And that seems to be a rare commodity in the homes built in this town. I'm very thankful for our home, but I really struggle getting well-lit pictures!

As I was editing these pictures, I was wondering why they seemed so crooked and then I finally realized that the table is not square at all! But hey, it was free. It's not too obvious in person.

My recent post on the diy dried artichokes is here. I have really enjoyed playing around with them in various vignettes.  They will definitely be getting a lot of use! I've already started drying a second batch.

I absolutely love this old wooden bowl. I found it this spring at a garage sale. It just has so much character. I think I got it for $12? I can't remember. I don't like spending $12 on anything at a garage sale, but I knew I would regret this one if I didn't get it!

Happy Monday!
