Over the weekend, Jeff and I pulled out our Christmas decorations and got to work. As this is the year of saving money, we used things we already had on hand. Here's what we came up with:
Jeff helped me make our first homemade living wreath. We just used leftover branches from our Christmas tree and strapped them onto two wire hangers. I needed something big to take up the dead space above the mantle. This works perfectly!
Pine cone garland on the mantle. Inspiration found on Pinterest here.
A little bird's nest...still working on getting some eggs to put in there. Inspiration found here and here.
Sparkly branches. Inspiration found here.
Jeff and I also finally got around to hanging some pictures...well, some of them have pictures in them, but at least the frames are up. Feels more homey around here now.
