With the Holidays just around the corner, I find myself spending a lot of time worrying. Worrying about decorating, about food, about not having enough time to get everything done, but most of all...I find myself worrying about money! I'm pretty confident that I'm not the only one! Household incomes are probably tighter than they have ever been, but the TV keeps right on telling us that we have to keep up with the Jones', so we try. We pull out our worn out credit cards and swipe it another time to satisfy a child - or the child in us.
If you are reading this post, chances are, you are among the top 5% wealthiest people in the world. How is that? Because you have a roof over your head, shoes on your feet, a full stomach, and a computer at your fingertips. It makes my worrying about how well my house is decorated seem so silly.
Even if I have nothing else to give this season, may I give my time, my care, my love freely to those I come in contact with!
May I keep "thanks" in "Thanksgiving" and "Christ" in "Christmas" this year!
Matthew 6:34 - "...do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself..."
