Instagram Pictures & Some Early Christmas Crafting
It's creeping up on being mid-November, but I feel like I'm still recovering from October! Anyone else feel that way? I'm ready for the Holidays, but so not ready for them.
I was looking through my instagram feed this evening to remind myself of what in world I have been doing these last few weeks. I don't even know what I do sometimes.
Obviously, I have been taking pictures of the outdoors! The fall here has been very beautiful this year.
I usually don't do much prep for Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but I kind of gave in this year. I got into the Christmas spirit a little this last last week and made a tree skirt.
I went ahead and lined the skirt to give it some substance, and I really like how it turned out. I used two curtain panels that I found at a garage sale for $1 each. The ruffles were beautiful and just waiting for me to cut off and repurpose :)
In the summer of last year, I saw this tree skirt by Marian @ Miss Mustard Seed and I couldn't wait for her tutorial to come out on HGTV around Christmas! This was my original plan for my tree skirt and I still think it's fabulous.
Marian's no-sew tutorial is HERE if you want to make one {it's super easy...a little time consuming, but totally worth it!}
My next 2 projects are stockings and pom pom garland. I'm also making an advent calendar for the girls I nanny. I'm super excited to put that together for them.
Have you started your Christmas crafting yet {if you're into that sort of thing}? What's on your must-make list?
Oh, I made MMS tree skirt too! I made mine out of drop cloth and I LOVE IT! I was wondering how your got your ruffles SO perfect! Nicely done!
