Introducing "12 Days of a DIY Christmas" {Series & Link Party}

If you follow me on Facebook or instagram, you may already know that I've been hard at work putting together a fun little DIY Christmas series here on the blog. I have been DIY-ing lots of my Christmas decorations over the past few weeks, and I am excited to share them with you starting December 1st through the 12th. Come back every day for a new post!

The other day, I was excitedly telling my friend, Mary Beth, about this new series and she suggested the brilliant idea of also making this series a link party. Why? Because participating and sharing is way more fun, right?! For this link party, anything {Christmas} is game!
>>Recipes<<
>>Family Traditions<<
>>Your Christmas Family Pictures<<
>>Crafts<<
>>DIY galore<<
>>Inspirational thoughts {on Christmas}<<
<<ETC>>
And it's not limited to posts from this year...{please don't link up ancient history though!}. You can link up one post a day for a total of twelve links.
 I know that some reading this probably have a couple questions: #1: "What the heck is a link party????", and /or #2: "I'm not a blogger, so how can I participate?"

Let me answer #1: "What is a link party?" That is a wonderful question {one that took me forever to figure out on my own!}. In short, a link party is a place where you can submit {via a simple form} the URL to one of your specific blog posts....a thumbnail and short title of your choice will appear at the bottom of the link party host's blog post. This is one of the best ways to grow your audience and share your hard work while connecting with other like-minded people. Come back tomorrow for a more thorough explanation: "The 'How' & 'Why' of a Link Party" complete with screenshots and an opportunity to ask stupid questions. I am in no way an expert on link parties! However, I will do my best to answer any questions or search out the answer for you.

#2: "I'm not a blogger, so how can I participate?" My link party does indeed include non-bloggers. How? Since you may link up any URL, a Facebook note would be a great way to share as a "non-blogger." For example, you could type out an old family recipe that your family loves around Christmastime {and maybe include a picture}, publish the note publicly, and share it here! {More step-by-step details on that in the explicatory post tomorrow}.

I hope you are as excited as I am about this series and will consider how you can contribute!

Feel free to grab a link party button {top right-hand side of my sidebar} to help me share the word!
